Simi Valley, CA – On May 10, 2025, at 8:36 p.m., a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Sycamore Drive and Alamo Street in Simi Valley sent two individuals to the hospital for treatment. The Ventura County Fire Department (VCFD) and Simi Valley Police Department (SVPD) responded, finding a Ford Explorer and a Lexus ES250 (or ES350) with significant damage.

VCFD units and SVPD officers arrived at the bustling Sycamore and Alamo intersection to find the two vehicles blocking the roadway, per a VCFD. The collision, likely a side-impact crash given the damage reported by, left two victims—a male driver from the Ford and a female passenger from the Lexus—requiring medical attention. Paramedics treated both on scene before transporting them by ambulance, bypassing the nearby Simi Adventist Medical Center and heading south, likely to Los Robles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, due to the severity of injuries or specialized trauma needs.

No fatalities were reported, and the victims’ conditions remain undisclosed, pending hospital updates. SVPD is investigating the cause, with early indications suggesting a possible failure to yield or distracted driving, though speed has not been ruled out. The intersection was closed for about an hour, with traffic rerouted to Cochran Street, causing delays.
