Reseda, CA – October 16, 2023 A violent group attack involving nine males broke out Monday in Los Angeles, leaving two teenage girls hospitalized and one juvenile under arrest following a chaotic stabbing incident, authorities confirmed.
The altercation erupted near a busy intersection in the West Valley area, where a teenage girl was suddenly jumped and attacked by a group of nine men. In an attempt to defend herself while being beaten, the teen pulled a knife — which led to a scuffle that escalated into a stabbing. During the melee, both the girl and another teenage female were stabbed. LAPD officials said it remains unclear who inflicted which wounds, but both injured girls were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not yet been disclosed.
Amid the chaos, a man’s keys were reportedly stolen from his white van, which was left abandoned in the intersection, immobilized and blocking traffic.
LAPD West Valley Division responded swiftly to the scene and began an immediate investigation. Officers later arrested a young teen girl in connection with the stabbing. Her identity has not been released due to her age. Detectives are still working to identify and locate the other individuals involved in the attack. Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has additional information to come forward. The motive behind the assault remains under investigation.
