Woodland Hills, CA – January 21, 2024 – A Mercedes SUV crashed into a parked 18-wheeler at 6710 N Variel Ave at 2:12 a.m., leaving the driver critically injured, Royol News Los Angeles reports. The 18-wheeler was parked in the turn lane outside an apartment complex when the SUV collided with its rear, pinning the driver. Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) crews extricated the driver using an engine to pull the vehicle back, with Urban Search and Rescue assisting. The driver was transported to a hospital via LAFD RA72 in critical condition. LAPD is investigating the Woodland Hills crash to determine its cause.
