West Hills, CA – On December 22, 2023, at approximately 9:00 p.m., a broken fire hydrant at the intersection of Kentland Avenue and Welby Way in West Hills unleashed thousands of gallons of water, flooding streets and threatening homes in a quiet residential neighborhood. The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), from Fire Station 105, responded swiftly, shutting off the water after a ruptured water main connection was identified underground.
