NORTH HILLS, CA – October 9, 2023 A fatal traffic collision claimed the life of a motorcyclist Monday evening in the North Hills area of Los Angeles, following a high-speed crash involving a white BMW and multiple vehicles.

The collision occurred at approximately 6:41 p.m. near 8633 Woodley Avenue, at the cross street of Parthenia Street. According to preliminary reports, the driver of a white BMW was traveling at a high rate of speed when the vehicle collided with a male motorcyclist. Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) personnel responded quickly to the scene, but tragically, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.

The impact of the crash involved several vehicles, though no other serious injuries were reported at the time of this release. LAPD is actively investigating the cause of the crash, including whether speed, impairment, or other factors contributed to the deadly incident. Traffic in the area was heavily impacted for several hours as officers conducted their investigation and cleared the scene.
