Chatsworth, CA – At 10:46 AM on September 2, 2025, a fierce structure fire broke out at a two-story, single-family home located at 10322 N Christine Pl. The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) responded swiftly, encountering heavy smoke and flames upon arrival. Firefighters forced entry and discovered the first floor engulfed in intense fire, with significant flames spreading to the rear and second floor of the residence.
A total of 53 firefighters worked diligently, and a knockdown was declared at 11:39 AM. Crews have transitioned to overhaul operations, salvaging property and cooling hot spots on both floors to ensure the fire hazard is fully mitigated. All occupants safely evacuated before firefighters arrived. One firefighter sustained a minor burn injury and is receiving treatment from paramedics on scene.
Support agencies, including the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) for utility management, the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) for traffic control, the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) for structural safety and excessive storage concerns, and the gas company for utility support, have been requested. Additional LAFD resources for firefighter recovery are also on scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Traffic in the immediate area will be impacted, and motorists are advised to find alternate routes to avoid delays. Residents should continue to avoid the area due to ongoing emergency operations.
