Canoga Park, CA December 1, 2025 An adult male tree trimmer was killed Monday afternoon after falling from height and landing on an iron fence in the 7400 block of Canoga Avenue in Canoga Park, Los Angeles Fire Department officials said. The incident was reported at approximately 3:24 pm Paramedics and firefighters from LAFD Station 72 responded to the residential property and found the worker impaled on the fence.
Despite immediate medical assessment, the man showed no signs of life and was declared dead at the scene. LAFD spokesperson Eric Scott confirmed the worker had been performing tree trimming operations when the fatal fall occurred. The victim’s identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin. Cal/OSHA has been notified and will lead the investigation into the workplace accident. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death. The body was removed by a USAR basket operation at 6:45pm.
