At approximately 10:00PM LASO, LAPD, CHP, and multiple other local police departments responded to reports of an active shooter. Upon arriving a perimeter was established around the apartment complex, the only info LASO had at the time was that a male was armed with multiple rifles and a handgun.
As a perimeter was being setup the male suspect who has not been identified at this time was actively shooting a semi automatic rifle into nearby buildings, cars, in the air, and at random.
Per a neighbor the police had come to the suspects door at 9pm and left after contact was made at around 10:00PM was when the suspect began opening fire on his balcony.
At this time a possible victim was located in Apartment D301 with a gunshot wound per LASO radio traffic. Suspect was later arrested at 12:54AM on 4/14/2024
