Tarzana, CA – October 28, 2023 At approximately 5:10 PM on Saturday, Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) units responded to a two-vehicle traffic collision at 6400 N Corbin Avenue, near the intersection of Victory Boulevard in Tarzana. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered two vehicles involved in the crash, one of which had come to rest on top of a fire hydrant, causing water to gush through the vehicle’s undercarriage and into the street. The scene drew attention from bystanders due to the dramatic flooding and unusual position of the car.
Despite the force of the impact and the water-related complications, no injuries were reported, and no patients required transport to the hospital, according to LAFD officials on scene. City crews were called to shut off the hydrant, while responders remained on-site to manage traffic and assess potential structural damage to nearby infrastructure.
