Simi Valley, CA – On Monday, July 7, 2025, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the Ventura County Fire Department responded to a vegetation fire on Lost Canyons Road, about one mile west of Tapo Canyon Road.
Firefighters arriving at the scene observed flames on a hillside along the south side of the road. Despite smoke drifting westward, no structures were threatened. The absence of wind aided containment efforts, limiting the fire to just half an acre.
Crews successfully controlled the blaze, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries or property damage were reported. Authorities remind residents to remain vigilant as fire season continues.
