Chatsworth, CA – July 20, 2025, At approximately 7:55 PM, officers from the LAPD Devonshire Division responded to a 911 call reporting a man brandishing a firearm at 20060 Prairie Street. According to the caller, the suspect pointed a gun at them, prompting a swift police response.

Upon arrival, officers encountered the suspect in a back alley adjacent to the restaurant, leading to an officer-involved shooting (OIS). Witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the area. LAPD quickly called for backup, and additional officers arrived to secure the scene.
Following the incident, police announced a “Code 4,” indicating the situation was under control, with the suspect taken into custody. One patient was transported to a local hospital, though their condition remains undisclosed. Authorities recovered at least four shell casings at the scene.
The area around MGD Korean BBQ was promptly cordoned off as LAPD continued their investigation.
