Simi Valley, CA – On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 5:08 p.m., the Ventura County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol responded to a vehicle accident on Santa Susana Pass Road near Lilac Lane, where a car had veered 200 feet down a hillside.
The adult female driver was trapped inside the vehicle, prompting the incident to be upgraded to a “Technical Rescue” due to the need for extrication. Additional units from the Los Angeles County Fire Department were initially dispatched but were later canceled by the Incident Commander, who determined that existing resources were sufficient.
The driver was extricated and transported by AMR paramedic ambulance to Los Robles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, bypassing Simi Valley Adventist Hospital, likely due to the “mechanism of injury” and trauma criteria. The extent of her injuries remains unknown. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
