Simi Valley, CA – On Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 7:54 a.m., the Ventura County Fire Department (VCFD) and Simi Valley Police Department responded to a reported structure fire at Susana Woods Mobile Estates, located at 6480 Katherine Road, just west of Kuehner Drive.
Arriving units swiftly extinguished a small fire within the affected unit, achieving knockdown within 20 minutes of the initial dispatch. The VCFD called a “2nd Alarm” for the incident, likely as a precautionary measure to ensure sufficient resources were available, though the fire was contained to a small area and extinguished quickly.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. As of 11:15 a.m., one VCFD engine remained on scene to monitor the situation. No injuries or further details have been reported at this time.
