Santa Monica, CA – A Santa Monica police officer was shot during a robbery (211) on Third Street near the Santa Monica Place mall on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at approximately 2:00 PM PDT. The officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was promptly transported to UCLA Medical Center for treatment.
According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred during a response to an active robbery in the bustling shopping district. The suspect, who remains at large, fled the scene after the shooting.
