MISSION HILLS, CA — On June 24, 2025, a man posing as a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent was reported causing disturbances in Mission Hills, according to local authorities. The individual, described as wearing a blue DEA jacket and a baseball cap, was seen taking photos of employees at a Target store on Sepulveda Boulevard and threatening baristas at a nearby Starbucks.
A concerned citizen reported the incident, stating, “Hi, there’s a man going around Mission Hills impersonating law enforcement. Can I send you pictures of the guy? He was in Target on Sepulveda taking photos of employees and threatening baristas at Starbucks. He was wearing a blue DEA jacket and a baseball cap. When police showed up, they said he was at a local 7-11 doing the same thing.”
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to the reports and confirmed the suspect’s activities extended to a nearby 7-11, where he continued similar behavior. The man’s actions align with a growing trend of law enforcement impersonation, which undermines public trust and safety, as noted in recent cases across Southern California.
Authorities are investigating and urge anyone with information to contact the Mission Community Police Station at 818-838-9800. The suspect’s identity and motives remain under investigation.
