Pasadena, Calif. — A residential fire broke out early Tuesday morning at a house under construction located at 700 E. Villa Street, prompting a rapid response from the Pasadena Fire Department. The fire was reported at 12:36 a.m. on June 17, 2025.


First arriving units observed heavy fire and smoke pouring from the front of the structure. Within minutes, the blaze engulfed the entire house, with flames also spreading to a nearby palm tree. Pasadena firefighters acted swiftly, bringing the fire under control and extinguishing it.


A neighbor informed authorities that the same house had caught fire at least twice previously, raising concerns about the property’s safety. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
