BURBANK, Calif. — On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, a brush fire, named the #BethanyFire, ignited in the hills above Burbank near Bethany Road and Amherst Drive around 3:26 pm today. Rapidly spreading to 8-10 acres, according to the Burbank Fire Department. The fire, fueled by dry vegetation and a moderate to rapid rate of spread, prompted mandatory evacuation orders for homes above Bel Aire Drive and west of Walnut Avenue, with warnings issued for areas north of Kenneth Boulevard and west of Magnolia Boulevard. The DeBell Golf Club and all hiking trails, including Wildwood Canyon and Stough Nature Center, were closed as firefighters, supported by LAFD air and ground crews, battled the blaze.
