Glendale, CA – January 2025 – At 1:49 p.m., the Glendale Fire Department, alongside Burbank Fire, rushed to a residential fire at the 1000 block of Western Avenue, where smoke billowed from an apartment unit, Royol News Los Angeles reports. Firefighters bravely entered the unit, swiftly extinguishing the flames, but the tragedy deepened with the loss of beloved pets.

Crews found heavy smoke showing and made rapid entry to knock down the flames. Amid the chaos, firefighters heroically rescued two dogs and two cats from the unit. Despite valiant rescue efforts and CPR on the pets, all four animals tragically passed away, leaving the community heartbroken.
The cause of the Glendale apartment fire remains unknown, and the fire investigation is ongoing. No human injuries were reported.
